Volleyball wins in 3…

- September 28, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Volleyball team won in three straight sets Tuesday night against Washington Bible College.   Senior Morgan Kellman led the Tigers with 8 attack points and 2 digs.  Sophomore Ellen Bethea followed with 5 attack points and 7 digs.  It was a tremendous team effort and the first 3 set sweep for the Tigers this season.  The Tigers are in action again on Saturday as they travel to take on the Patriots from Valley Forge Christian College.

Tiger Classic Soccer Tournament

- September 19, 2010 The Trinity Tigers hosted the Tiger Classic this past weekend playing host to Mary Baldwin College, Lincoln University and Valley Forge Christian College.  On Saturday the Tigers lost a heartbreaker losing to Valley Forge 1-0.   On Sunday the Tigers took the field to face Lincoln University in the 3rd place match.  The Tigers got off to a slow start but were able pull it together and win convincingly 9-1.  Junior Captain Macee Wray started of the scoring with a penalty kick in the 24th minute.  Junior Kiauna Hemsley scored the next three goals.  Sophomore Charity Blackwell and …

Tigers Soccer Wins!

- September 15, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Soccer team travel to Christendom College on Wednesday afternoon and came away with a victory winning 3-0.  Junior caption, Macee Wray scored all three goals for the Tigers.  She now has six goals and two assists on the season.  Freshman goalie Becky Battistelli recorded her first collegiate shutout in goal with 8 saves.  Charity Blackwell, Bree Martin, Maria Castillo and Ana Schwartz were all outstanding on defense.  The Tiger Classic Tournament takes place this weekend, kicking off Saturday at noon with the Tigers taking on Valley Forge Christian College.

Volleyball Loses Close one…

- September 15, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Volleyball team lost a touch match Wednesday night losing in 5 sets to Penn State Abingington.  Sophomore Lakia Meriwether led the Tigers with 27 attack points followed by senior, Morgan Kellman with 21 attack points and 7 digs.  Ellen Bethea, sophomore followed with 18 attack points and 16 digs.  The team travels on Saturday to take on Penn State Harrisburg and the College of Notre Dame in a tri-match.

DIII Player of the Week

- For Immediate Release September 13, 2010 Wray Receives Association of Division III Independents Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Award Overland Park, Kan. – Trinity Washington University Junior midfielder Macee Wray (Baltimore, MD) has been named the Association of Division III Independents Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.  Wray scored a pair of goals over the weekend, including on via penalty kick.  She now has three goals and two assists on the season.

Volleyball Wins….

- September 11, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Volleyball team won their first game of the season in an exciting 5 set match beating Valley Forge Christian College.  Sophomore Ellen Bethea led the Tigers with a remarkable 25 digs, 5 attack points and 2 aces.  Karen Hernandez, freshman, also had an outstanding game with 10 digs and 2 aces.  It was a combined team effort as everyone played extremely well. The Tigers are now 1-3.  The team travels on Monday to take on Hood College.  Game time is 7:00 pm.

Tigers Soccer

- September 11, 2010 The Trinity Tigers soccer team lost a tough game Saturday afternoon falling to the Wildcats of Randolph College 5-2.  Junior Captain Macee Wray scored both goals for the Tigers.  Goalies Sloane Noel-Johnson and Becky Battistelli both had 6 saves on the day.  The Tigers are now 1-2 on the season.

Tigers Soccer Wins First Game of Season

- September 8, 2010 The Trinity Tigers soccer team recorded their first win of the season beating Wilson College Wednesday afternoon 2-0.  Freshman, Cindy Morales scored her first college goal off a corner kick from Macee Wray.  In the second half Junior Captain Macee Wray scored her first goal of the season securing the win for the Tigers.  Sophomore Sloane Noel-Johnson had five saves in goal.  The Tigers are in action again at home on Saturday September 11th as they take on the Wildcats from Randolph College

Tigers Drop Home Opener

- September 2, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Soccer team lost their home opener falling to the College of Notre Dame Gators 2-4.  The Gators took the lead in the 12th minute off an unassisted goal by Ashley Cumberland but just 4 minutes later Junior Kiauna Hemsley tied the score.  The Gators scored once more before halftime taking the 2-1 lead.  In the second half the Gators scored two quick goals in the first ten minutes to take a 4-1 lead, but the Tigers mounted a comeback and in the 60th minute Kiauna Hemsley scored another goal assisted by Macee Wray but unfortunately time …

- September 2, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Volleyball team lost their home opener falling to Washington Bible College.  Sophomore Ellen Bethea led the Tigers will 11 digs, and 2 attack points.  Senior Morgan Kellman followed with 5 attack points and 2 digs.  The Tigers hit the road Wednesday to take on Christendom College.
