The Trinity Tigers hosted the Tiger Classic this past weekend playing host to Mary Baldwin College, Lincoln University and Valley Forge Christian College. On Saturday the Tigers lost a heartbreaker losing to Valley Forge 1-0. On Sunday the Tigers took the field to face Lincoln University in the 3rd place match. The Tigers got off to a slow start but were able pull it together and win convincingly 9-1. Junior Captain Macee Wray started of the scoring with a penalty kick in the 24th minute. Junior Kiauna Hemsley scored the next three goals. Sophomore Charity Blackwell and Freshman Gaby Gutierrez both scored their first goals of the season taking the Tigers into halftime with a 6-0 lead. In the second half Hemsely and Gutierrez netted another goal and Freshman Minnie Achenkeny scored her first goal.
