- December 7, 2009 It is with great pleasure to announce the naming of Kiauna Hemsley as DIII Independent Player of the Year and first team selection in soccer. Joining Kiauna on the first team is Macee Wray; second team selection Allison Evans and Cristina Martinez; and Honorable Mention selections Charity Blackwell and Volleyball’s Ellen Bethea. Soccer coach, Beth Stone was named Coach of the Year for her efforts in guiding Trinity to its first winning season. Association of DIII Independents Names 2009 All-Independent Teams

- For Immediate Release Monday December 7, 2009 KANSAS CITY, MO.—The 2009 All-Independent Women’s Soccer and Volleyball teams were announced today by the Association of Division III Independents. Offensive Player of the Year Kiauna Hemsley, Trinity Washington University, SO, Forward, Baltimore, Md. – Nationally ranked in goals per game (32nd with 1.00) and points per game (46th with 2.13), Hemsley scored 15 goals and had two assists in 15 games. Down to the wire!

- December 5, 2009 The Trinity Tigers basketball team lost a close one Saturday afternoon as they fell to Valley Forge College 47-49.   The Tigers started off the scoring with a jumper by Ashley Brown but quickly found themselves down 3-11 off two three-pointers by Valley Forge’s Amanda Reich.  The Tigers fought back and went into halftime only down two points.  At the opening of the second half Ashley Brown tied up the game for the Tigers 21-21.  For the rest of the second half there would be eight lead changes with the two teams equally exchanging baskets.  With only a few …

Tigers Record second win…

- 12-1-09 The Trinity Tiger basketball team posted their second win of the season beating Wilson College Tuesday night 48-39.  Dominique Meriedy led the Tigers with 13 points and 7 rebounds.  Stefonie Kelly and Ashley Brown both contributed 10 points on the night.  The Tigers are now 2-3.

Tigers Basketball

- November 30, 2009 The Tigers got off to a slow start Monday night as Hood jumped out to a 12-5 lead within the first six minutes but the Tigers started hitting their shots and tied the score at 19 off a three-pointer by Ashley Brown at the eight minute mark.  The Tigers went into halftime with a five point lead, 32-27. Hood came out on fire and scored the first seven points of the second half to take the lead.  The Tigers closed the gap several times but Hood took the lead for good with 14 minutes to play in …

Tigers Lose tough one…

- 11-24-09 The Tigers Basketball team lost a tough game Tuesday night as they fell to Arcadia University 62-51.  At halftime the Tigers were only down five points but Arcadia fought off an aggressive Tiger attack as we closed the gap to two points.  Arcadia then pushed their lead to 19 with six minutes remaining to hold on for the win.  Ashley Brown led the Tigers with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
