It is with great pleasure to announce the naming of Kiauna Hemsley as DIII Independent Player of the Year and first team selection in soccer. Joining Kiauna on the first team is Macee Wray; second team selection Allison Evans and Cristina Martinez; and Honorable Mention selections Charity Blackwell and Volleyball’s Ellen Bethea. Soccer coach, Beth Stone was named Coach of the Year for her efforts in guiding Trinity to its first winning season.

Sophomore Kiauna Hemsley was an unanimous selection for Player of the Year as she recorded 15 goals and 2 assists on the year and also finished the season ranked 32 in the Nation for goals per game and 46 in the Nation for points per game. Other unanimous selections were Sophomore midfielder Macee Wray who led the Division in Assists and Senior defender Allison Evans. Junior Cristina Martinez, who pulled double duty this season as both goalkeeper and striker, was named to the second team. Freshman Charity Blackwell was named as Honorable Mention as a defender and Freshman Ellen Bethea was named Honorable Mention as a setter for Volleyball.

When Coach Stone first started at Trinity, the soccer team had not won a game in three seasons and in her fourth season as Head Coach, she has turned the program around by strong recruiting and athlete retention.

Congratulations to all the young ladies who received awards and to their teammates who helped them achieve their success.
