Washington, DC– Senior guard Ellen Betha led a balanced effort with 18 points, six assists, and five rebounds as the Tigers won their home opener 83-40 against Mid-Atlantic Christian. Freshman Kenyatta Robertson added six rebounds and 16 points for Trinity, while Christa Burgess had the team high of nine rebounds for the night.
The Tigers, who never trailed hit 38-of-81 shots (46.9%) and 5-of-11 free throws (45.5%). MACU hit 14-of-56 shots (25%) and 7-of-15 free throws (46.7%).
