Box Score While the first set seemed like an easy win, Trinity began to struggle right from the jump in the second set, allowing Washington Adventist to catch up to tying it up 1-1.  After losing the second and third sets, the Trinity University volleyball team won the fourth and fifth sets clenching the match 3-2 (25-14, 21-25, 13-25, 25-19, 15-12) Monday night.

The win couldn’t have come at a better time being it was the annual ‘Fan Fun Day’ for the Tigers.  Fans received free food and Trinity athletic T-shirts for attending the event.
Trinity (3-11) finished with 56 digs and 21 kills as sophomore libero Natasha Dennis had 13 of those 56 digs for the Tigers. Senior Lakia Meriwether led the team with 8 kills on the night as sophomore Brittany Wilkerson posted 13 of the teams 14 assists.

Washington Adventist battled hard in the fifth set but the Tigers never gave up, winning the last set by three.
The Tigers will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Thursday against PSU-Abington at home.
