CHARITY BLACKWELL

A native of Fort Washington, Maryland, Charity Blackwell is a senior duel sport athlete at Trinity University.  Charity is the captain of the soccer team and a small forward on the basketball team.   Not only is Charity a leader on the field, she is a Communications major with a GPA of 3.4.

I met with Charity this morning to pry into her life a little bit and here is what I got!

What is your favorite class at Trinity?

Gangsters and films would have to be my favorite course because it steps outside of the box.

What is your favorite part of being a Trinity student-athlete?

I really like being held to a high standard on and off campus.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Well it’s not really hidden since most people know about it, but I write and perform poetry.  I also host our poetry night on campus “Speaking It Real”.

What is something you enjoy doing in your leisure time?

Practicing guitar; no it isn’t a talent yet because I just started this summer!

Who has been the biggest influence on your life?

I know it seems cliché, but it would have to be my mother.  She is my motivation to push through every obstacle I come across.

 What is your dream job?

I currently have an internship for the chamber of commerce and someday hope to become a sports journalist for ESPN!
