Tigers Win 6th Straight

The Trinity Tigers won their 6th straight game Wednesday night beating the Gators from the College Notre Dame 66-65.   The Gators had the advantage going into halftime with a 40-32 lead.   The Gators lead throughout most of the second half until a late surge by the Tigers brought them within two points with a minute left in the game.  Christa Burgess tied the game with 60 seconds left.  With only five seconds left in the game Thamar Polynice was fouled sending her to the free throw line.   Thamar made one of her two free throws securing a 66-65 win over the Gators.

Freshman guard Shelby Swann led the Tigers with 26 points, 1 assist and 1 steal.  Junior guard Christa Burgess followed with 11 points, 3 assists and 4 steals.  The Tigers are now 6-1 on the season.  The Tigers are at home on Friday night as they take on the Blazers from Hood College.
