For Immediate Release November 9, 2010OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) named women’s soccer forward/goalkeeper Kiauna Hemsley, a junior from Trinity Washington University, its Student-Athletes of the Month for the month of October.
Hemsley played double duty in the month of October as she was called upon to fill in at goal when a fellow goalkeeper was injured. She is her team’s second leading scorer with eight goals, including one in a 3-1 win over Washington Adventist on Oct. 8. Additionally, the Baltimore, Md., native played five games in goal and recorded 45 saves.
