KICKS Against Breast Cancer Game

- October 16, 2010 With the field painted pink and the Tigers sporting bright pink socks, the Trinity Tigers Soccer team hosted their first KICKS Against Breast Cancer game this past weekend. The Tigers played Greensboro College and did not get off to a good start as they were down 4 goals at the end of the first half. We came out fighting in the second half and with 14 minutes left in the game Macee Wray scored on a penalty kick followed ten minutes later with a beautiful goal by Christa Burgess.    Unfortunately the Tigers ran out of time losing to Greensboro 4-2.  The fundraising …

Wray DIII Player of the Week

- For Immediate Release October 18, 2010 Wray receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week award OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Trinity Washington University junior midfielder Macee Wray (Baltimore, Md.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week. Wray had one goal and one assist in a 4-2 loss against Greensboro College over the weekend. On the season, she now has nine goals and six assists.

Tigers Soccer Wins…

- October 8, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Soccer team won Friday afternoon 3-1 beating Washington Adventist University.  The Tigers took the lead early when Kiauna Hemsley scored in the 7th minute off an assist from Macee Wray.  In the 43rd minute Macee Wray added another goal taking the Tigers into halftime with a 2-0 lead.  The Tigers came out slow in the second half and Washington Adventist capitalized scoring in the 77th minute to close the gap to one, but in the remaining minutes of the game Christa Burgess put the game away for the Tigers scoring her first goal of the …

Volleyball wins in 3…

- Tuesday October 5, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Volleyball team won in straight sets Tuesday night beating Washington Adventist 25-18, 25-22 and 25-20.  Sophomore Ellen Bethea led the team with 14 digs, 1 assist and 3 attack points.  Junior Asia Barnett followed with 9 digs, 3 assists and 1 attack point.  The Tiger are in action again Wednesday night at home as they take on Christendom College.  Game time is 7:00 pm.
