Tigers Lose in Overtime

The Trinity Tigers basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss Wednesday night as the fell to Rosemont College in overtime 75-78.   The score was kept close in the first half with Rosemont leading going into break 28-33.  In the second half the Tigers outscored Rosemont 40-35.

With the Tigers down three points with just seconds left Thamar Polynice sunk a three point shot from half court sending the game into overtime.  The Tigers had five players in double figures. Thamar Polynice led the Tigers with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals.  Bree Martin followed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and Stefonie Kelly recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds.   Ashley Brown had 12 points and Lashawna Ervin netted in 10 points.

The Tigers are on the road again Saturday as they head down the street to face Gallaudet University, game time is 2:00 pm.  The Tigers are now 6-7.
