In the last home game of the season, the Tigers entered Saturday’s game facing Mount Saint Vincent with a chance to end their season with a winning record. It didn’t take the Tigers long to score, in the 4th minute Kiauna Hemsley put one in the back of the net on an assist from Macee Wray. Kiauna would add another goal one minute later off a punt from goalie Cristina Martinez. Macee Wray would score the next three goals for the Tigers, all unassisted sending the Tigers into halftime with 5-0 lead.
Kiauna Hemsley added another goal for the Tigers in the 74th minute and in the 78th minute senior defender Allison Evans scored her first goal of the season giving the Tigers a 7-0 win.
It was the last home game for seniors Allison Evans, Brenda Martinez and Eva Leonzo-Portillo all of whom have contributed a great deal to the success of the soccer program and will be truly missed next season. The Tigers conclude their season today against Catholic University at 4:00 pm at CUA.
