The Trinity Tigers soccer team lost their first game of the season 2-1 against the College of Notre Dame Gators last night.  The Gators struck first with a goal from Kelsey Kempf in the 15th minute placing a beautiful free kick to the top right corner of the net.  The Tigers fought back scoring in the 23rd minute off a free kick by Macee Wray who found Kiauna Hemsley waiting inside the six yard box.   With a 1-1 score at half time both teams came out fighting in the second half and it wasn’t until the 83rd minute the Gators headed the ball into the back of net off the finger tips of goalie, Cristina Martinez.  With just seconds remaining, the Tigers had a chance to tie as Christa Burgess used her speed to get down the left side of the field placing a beautiful pass to Kiauna Hemsley. Hemsley fired a shot hitting the upper post as the game ended.  Goalie Cristina Martinez made 7 saves on the night.
