Tigers Fall in Tip-Off Tournament

The Trinity Tigers Basketball team dropped both of their games this weekend at the Frostburg Tip-Off Tournament. On Friday, the Tigers fell to tournament host Frostburg State 78-46. Preshuse Jackson led the Tigers in scoring with 17 points followed by Danielle Owens with 7 points. Morgan Kellman had a game high 13 rebounds in her first game as a Trinity Tiger.

In the consolation game Saturday afternoon, the Tigers faced Manhattanville College of New York. The Tigers found themselves down by 9 points at the half and fought hard to close the gap to 6 points with 2:56 remaining but could not get any closer. Manhattanville went on to win 61-52. Danielle Owens, Preshuse Jackson and Danielle Pettis all scored in double figures. Danielle Owens also pulled down 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season, earning her a spot on the All-Tournament team.

The Tigers are in action at home on Tuesday, November 20th against Christopher Newport University at 7:00 pm.
