The Trinity Tigers could not get on track in this weekend competition dropping games to the University of Southern Virginia and Newportnews Apprentice School. On Friday night, the Southern Virginia Knights used their size advantage to coast to a nine point halftime lead and an eventual twenty point victory over the Tigers. The Tigers got close in the second half, but could not overcome the deficit and Southern VA pushed further ahead by capitalizing on multiple trips to the free throw line to win 77-55. Lauren Hall led the Tigers in scoring with 23 points, followed by Danielle Owens with 11.

The Tigers were back in action early Saturday morning against Newportnews Apprentice Lady Builders. The Lady Builders capitalized on 19 Tiger turnovers and ahd four players in double figures as they outlasted the Tigers 71-64. Janel Hamilton and Lauren Hall had good offensive performances for the Tigers as they scored 21 and 18 points reprectively. The Tigers fall to 2-4 on the season. They look to rebound on Wednesday as they travel to Shenandoah University for a non-conference match-up.
