TIGERS WIN AT HOME

- The Tigers overcame a slow start and a seven point halftime deficit to defeat Salem College (NC) 62-57 at the Trinity Center to remain undefeated at home. Rahesia McDonald and Janel Hamilton knocked down key free throws in the final minute of regulation to seal the victory. Lauren Hall led the Tigers with 14 points and Sheree Henderson finished with 10 points. The Tigers record improves to 3-5 going into holiday break. They return to action on January 11th for a conference match-up against Wilson College.

TIGERS FALL TO SHENANDOAH

- The Shenandoah University Hornets managed to pull out a victory against the Tigers Wednesday night despite the a first half 11-1 run and a barrage of 3-pointers late in the the game by the Tigers. Preshuse Jackson connected on two 3-pointers and Lauren Hall, Sharell Kyle and Courtney Knox each connected on 3-pointers to get within eight points of the Hornets with .43 seconds remaining in the game, but it was too late as Shenandoah went on to victory by a final score of 83-71. TRINITY FALLS TWICE AT SOUTHERN VA

- The Trinity Tigers could not get on track in this weekend competition dropping games to the University of Southern Virginia and Newportnews Apprentice School. On Friday night, the Southern Virginia Knights used their size advantage to coast to a nine point halftime lead and an eventual twenty point victory over the Tigers. The Tigers got close in the second half, but could not overcome the deficit and Southern VA pushed further ahead by capitalizing on multiple trips to the free throw line to win 77-55.
