I invite the Trinity campus community to join me in thanking and congratulating the Trinity Tigers Basketball Team for a magnificent season. This team’s dedication to excellence, teamwork and hard work took them all the way to the championship game of the Atlantic Women’s College Conference. Last night’s game was thrilling … both teams were within 2-3 points of each other for the entire match. While Hood College emerged the victor in the last minute (61-58 the final score), Trinity’s team was every bit as competitive. Watching our players demonstrate their best, sustained effort was a point of pride for all of the many Trinity fans and families who travelled to Baltimore to witness this great game.
Many thanks to the players for wearing Trinity’s colors so well. Very special thanks to Coach Christy Neff whose hard work and dedication led the way for this terrific team. Thanks as well to Assistant Coach Kurtis Cross, to our Trainer Matthew Virtue, and to all of the staff and supporters in the Athletics Department and in other departments at Trinity who work cooperatively with Athletics and our teams.
Finally, many thanks to the scores of fans — families, friends, classmates, alumnae, faculty and staff — whose loud and proud presence at the games means a lot to our students.
Don’t put those banners and noise sticks away — lacrosse, tennis and crew will launch their spring seasons shortly (if the snow ever melts!). Watch the website and your mailboxes for schedules and more information about Trinity’s fabulous teams!
