CASE Presents Trinity A Silver Award for Outstanding Web Site

The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) presented Trinity Webmaster Timothy Russell the Silver Award for outstanding web site design in the category of “Web Site: Student Recruitment.” The prestigious award was for the Customizable Web pages that Russell created for prospective students in the College of Arts and Timothy RussellSciences. The award was given at a special ceremony in New York City for all 2007 CASE District II Accolades award winners.

“>Congratulations to Timothy Russell,” said President Patricia McGuire. “This is an extraordinary honor for Trinity and a well-deserved achievement for Timothy.”

The CASE Silver award recognizes exemplary work by Russell, who had the vision, technical skills and creativity to turn an idea into an innovative and effective recruitment tool. The Customizable Web page technology is a unique and sophisticated approach to student recruitment that promotes the strongest features of the Trinity experience while giving prospective students the opportunity to explore Trinity’s majors, internship opportunities and the city of Washington in a way that is customized to their interests.

Russell, who is Trinity’s sole web designer, developed the content and the technology to support more than 60,000 Customizable Web pages for prospective students and then adapted the technology to create Customizable Web pages for Trinity’s accepted students in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The awards program is open to all institutional members in CASE District II, which is the mid-Atlantic region, and includes hundreds of colleges and universities in Washington, DC, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and several other states.
