Language Assessment

Students may demonstrate their language proficiency by passing an institutional Spanish or French exam developed by our faculty.  Students who PASS will have their foreign language competency fulfilled. Although students who satisfy the criteria by taking this exam will NOT earn course credit, they will be exempt from taking the foreign language class(es).

Additional information about foreign language requirements can be found  here: Options for Satisfying Foreign Language Proficiency. You may also consult it if you would like to demonstrate your proficiency in a language other than Spanish or French.

Contact Dr. Kimberly LaBoone (, Director of Academic Services, to schedule an appointment or to discuss your questions about satisfying the language proficiency requirement.

Proctoring Exams for Non-Trinity Students

Testing Services will administer and proctor distance learning and online course exams as a courtesy for other educational institutions as the schedule permits. Exams will be administered based on instructions and specifications from the home institution and will only be administered when students have scheduled appointments. For complete details visit Proctoring for non-Trinity students.
