Fall 2013 SPS Undergraduate Research Presentations

The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is focused on scholarly endeavors and enhancing the educational experiences of its students. This undergraduate presentation supports the modern tradition of informed intellectual discussion with selected students presenting research-based projects completed during the 2013 academic year. Presented topics explore many of overarching historical socio-political issues as they impact modern society. Presentations are connected by interweaving consciousness-raising themes.

- Psychological effects of homelessness
- Psychological effects of African Americans who witness domestic violence
- Racially coded language and unequal treatment of Black people
