School of Education 2013 Graduates pose for class photoTrinity’s School of Education (EDU) offers teacher certification programs and graduate degree programs in counseling, teacher preparation, advanced curriculum design and administration. In addition, EDU supports the university’s undergraduate programs in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education in the College of Arts & Sciences and Early Childhood Education in the School of Professional Studies. Our programs (listed on the left) are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (N.C.A.T.E.), which ensures that our graduates have the knowledge and skills to be effective teachers, making them better prepared for initial licensing and advanced board certification. Furthermore, all of our programs are approved by D.C.’s Office of the State Superintendent of Education (O.S.S.E.) and meet requirements for state certification.

We design and deliver our curricula for educators in all stages of their careers in a convenient course schedule that includes fall, spring, and summer courses in the evenings and weekends. We also offer in-service and pre-service teacher training. Our Continuing Education program offers professional development courses at the graduate level to help current teachers and education professionals maintain their certification requirements.
