Those principles guided her daily work at BSF.

Barbara earned many awards including recognition as a Washingtonian of the Year. Her legacy will last for generations in the great educational opportunities she made possible for so many black children in the Washington region.

Our condolences go out to Barbara’s husband, daughters and family, along with great gratitude for the many gifts she shared with Trinity. We are so much better today for having known her and reaped the benefits of her leadership as a loyal alumna and trustee.

Barbara Patterson changed countless lives for generations through her fierce advocacy for improved educational opportunities for black children through her leadership of the Black Student Fund and as a Trinity Trustee.

[971,509,14,24,26,508,29,30
1965,1966,1364
post-7274","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-academics","category-civil-human-rights","category-education","category-social-justice-issues","category-trinity","category-trinity-alumnae","category-women","category-womens-leadership","tag-barbara-patterson","tag-black-student-fund","tag-educational-opportunity
["GET
