time I dislike geese immensely &#8212; they travel in packs, befoul the grass, eat ravenously and make ugly honking sounds.\u00a0 Ok, got that out!\u00a0 But in their natural settings outside of urban areas, they can be lovely, even regal.\u00a0 I enjoyed watching the goose families have a splash party (photo above) on Simond Pond near Tupper Lake.\u00a0 The little ones ravenously consumed the loosestrife (below) which is good since that water plant is a nuisance&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinitydc.edu\/president\/2017\/07\/adirondack-chronicles-2017-4-getting-your-goose-on\/goslings-eating-large\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6837\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
