In making their tuition decision, the Trustees carefully weighed the financial needs of our students alongside the inevitable increases we will experience in faculty salaries, technology and maintenance costs, and other goods and services that are necessary to support Trinity’s educational enterprise.

In reviewing our tuition levels compared to area universities, and with a strong desire to keep Trinity’s tuition levels competitive for students in SPS, the Trustees decided that there would be NO INCREASE for the undergraduate programs in the School of Professional Studies, including the Weekend College, leaving that tuition price steady at $450 per credit hour. Similarly, there will be no increase for the MBA program, where the tuition price of $595 per credit hour will continue. There will be a modest 3% increase in the tuition price for all other graduate programs, from $535 to $550, an increase of $15 per credit or $45 per three-credit course. The 2004-2005 tuition for all other programs is set forth in the rate schedule listed below. A more detailed schedule of all fees at Trinity is published on Trinity’s website.

Trinity’s graduate tuition and fees remain significantly lower than other private universities in the Washington region and around the nation; some of the local tuition prices exceed $800 per credit and are rising even faster. Trinity’s School of Professional Studies strives to deliver excellent academic quality at a moderate tuition price for students who are pursuing careers in business, information technology, government and the non-profit sector.

As always, I am happy to discuss Trinity’s tuition price, costs and budget with you. Thank you for your continuing participation in Trinity’s important educational mission.

Sincerely,

President Patricia McGuire

School of Professional Studies Tuition, 2004-2005 Dear Students in Trinity’s School of Professional Studies: At their meeting on February 6, 2004, the Trinity College Board of Trustees established tuition and fee prices for 2004-2005.
