Members of the Trinity community — students, faculty, staff, alumnae and alumni — are invited to hear Sr. Teresita Weind, SND, the congregational leader of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur worldwide, to give a special address on Tuesday, April 3, at 4:00 pm in O’Connor Auditorium.

“Sr. Teresita is a remarkable religious and spiritual leader whose election as the general moderator of the global community of the SNDs is a great tribute to her compelling talents,” said President Patricia McGuire, who is hosting her visit to Trinity’s campus.

Her address is entitled, “Trinity Washington University:  Radical Gratitude” and she will reflect on the ways in which Trinity’s mission also advances the important work of the Sisters of Notre Dame in action for social justice.

Sr. Teresita Weind earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Mary in Bismark, North Dakota, and then her master’s degree in theology at Mundelein College in Chicago.  She was in province leadership for the Ohio Province of the SNDs prior to her election to the international leadership team.
