Kiauna Hemsley Receives Association of Division III Independents Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Award
Trinity sophomore forward Kiauna Hemsley of Baltimore, Maryland, has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer player of the week. Hemsley led her team to an 8-0 win over Wilson College with three goals and an assist on nine shots on goal. She scored the team’s only goal in a narrow, 2-1, loss to College of Notre Dame and saw her shot with 10 seconds remaining bounce off the cross bar. For the week, she accumulated nine points. (A player receives two points for every goal she scores and one point for each assist. Hemsley scored four goals in the first week and had one assist for a total of nine points.)
