July 24, 2008 - Lynn Johnson, associate dean of Trinity’s School of Education, presented testimony on behalf of Dean Suellen Meara on July 23, 2008, regarding proposed regulations governing teacher certification in the District of Columbia. July 24, 2008 - Trinity President Patricia McGuire was interviewed about leadership issues on a program called “The Leaders Spot with Rebecca Blacksmith” on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, on WDMV Radio, 700 AM. In the interview, broadcast as she begins her 20th year as president, she discusses important lessons for leaders and talks about the Trinty Center for Women and Girls in Sports, plans for the new Trinity Academic Center and other topics. July 3, 2008 - The Trinity community mourns the passing of Sr. Joan Bland, SND, ’38, who died on Sunday, June 29 at the age of 90. A graduate of Trinity’s green class of 1938, Sr. Joan entered the Sisters of Notre Dame at Ilchester that same year. Trinity alumnae, EPS students and graduates, and all members of the Trinity community are invited to remember Sister Joan at her memorial Mass on Sunday, August 3, at 3:30 p.m. in Notre Dame Chapel.
