Washington Post Columnist E.J. Dionne to be Keynote Speaker for “The Pursuit of Peace” Program at Trinity

Trinity’s Campus Ministry program and Pax Christi USA are co-sponsoring a program, “The Pursuit of Peace,” that will feature Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne as the keynote speaker. The program will be held on Wednesday, September 12, at 7:00 p.m. in O’Connor Auditorium. Members of the Trinity community and the general public are invited to attend.

ej-dionne-1-sized.jpgThe program will be hosted by Bishop Gabino Zavala, bishop president of Pax Christi USA, and auxiliary bishop, Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The keynote speaker, Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne, writes on a broad range of national and international issues. He is also a fellow at the Brookings Institute.

During the program, Pax Christi USA will present the 2007 Teacher of Peace award to Fr. John Rausch, director of the Catholic Committee of Appalachia, and the 2007 Book Award to The Option for the Poor in Christian Theology, edited by Fr. Daniel G. Groody and published by University of Notre Dame Press.
