Trinity Hosts Academic Colloquium: “Public Policy and National Intelligence in a Changing Landscape,” Friday, April 20, 2007

The Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence at Trinity is hosting its third annual Academic Colloquium on intelligence issues on Friday, April 20, 2007. “Public Policy and National Intelligence in a Changing Landscape” is the theme for this year’s program, which is sponsored by a grant from the U.S. Intelligence Community.

us-flag.jpgFeatured speakers include Congressman Alcee Hastings (D-FL); Joan Dempsey, former Deputy Director of the CIA, and current Vice President for Intelligence Operations, Booz Allen Hamilton; and Denis Clift, President, National Defense Intelligence College, who will speak on “The Accountability of Intelligence.”

Registration is free to the day-long program and is open to students, faculty and staff at all colleges and universities in the region; high school students, counselors and teachers; professionals in the intelligence field; and others who have an interest in intelligence careers.

The Colloquium begins with registration at 8:00 a.m. in Trinity’s Main Hall; the opening session is at 9:15 a.m. and the program concludes at 4:00 p.m. Trinity provides a free shuttle to and from the Brookland Metro on the Red Line.
