The Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence at Trinity is hosting its third annual Academic Colloquium on intelligence issues on Friday, April 20, 2007. “Public Policy and National Intelligence in a Changing Landscape” is the theme for this year’s program, which is sponsored by a grant from the U.S. Intelligence Community.

President McGuire announced that the 2007 Commencement speaker will be Barbara Lang, president and chief executive officer of the D.C. Chamber of Commerce.

Trinity Senior Leah Martin is one of just 10 students nationwide awarded the prestigious Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship. Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the highly-competitive fellowship seeks to attract and educate outstanding young people to pursue a career in the U.S. Foreign Service.

Trinity students Annie Osorio-Perez, Christine Palmer and Natasha Ray are among the 180 Young People For Fellows selected from a highly competitive pool of college students from across the nation.

Trinity President Patricia McGuire will be inducted into the Washington, D.C. Hall of Fame Society on Sunday, April 15. She will receive the Regional Award for her many contributions to the Washington, D.C. region.

Emily Sikazwe, executive director of Women for Change of Zambia, will speak on Trinity’s campus on Thursday, March 15, 2007. The program is in Rose Parlor, 11:45 a.m. to 1:15pm. Guests are invited to bring their lunch; drinks and cookies will be provided.

Trinity coach Gary Blake was named Atlantic Women’s College Conference Coach of the Year for basketball.
