Why am I having problems accessing the journal databases?

We are happy to look into the issues of access. It’s usually an easy fix on our end but it is better to reach out as soon as possible so we can work on it. Feel free to email us at TrinityLibrary@TrinityDC.edu or give us a call at (202) 884-9350

Do I need a username and password to search the databases?

If you are on campus, no you do not.  Trying to access the databases when you are off-campus requires the same username and password as your Moodle credentials.

However, you may be asked for this information in the following cases:

Your search “timed out” – most of these databases will end-users’ search sessions after a period of inactivity.

There might be server difficulties on the database provider’s page. If this happens please contact us (see “Other questions?”).

How do I know which database to search?

Each database has a description underneath. This tells you what subjects they cover and what type of sources they provide. If you are still unsure which database to search, reach out to one of the librarians at  TrinityLibrary@TrinityDC.edu or give us a call at (202) 884-9350.
