Trinity Washington University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach one section of the following Biology course: Biology 101 in the Spring semester of 2018. This course meets on M/W 9-10:15 (lecture) and M 1:30 pm-4:30 pm (lab).
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in biology and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. or ABD in Biology.
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices. English and Spanish proficiency are desireable.
