Adjunct Faculty for Sociology
Trinity Washington University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach the following sociology courses in the Fall semester of 2018.
SOCY 100/5: Introduction to Sociology, meets on Tuesdays/Thursdays, from 1:30pm – 2:45pm
SOCY 323: Race and Racism, meets on Fridays, from 12:00 to 2:30 pm.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in sociology and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD or ABD in Sociology.
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices.
