Adjunct Faculty Trinity Washington University- Nursing Program

Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks dynamic nurse educators for adjunct teaching positions in the BSN Program within the School of Nursing and Health Professions (NHP) beginning Fall 2018. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program offers a pre-licensure and RNBSN tracks.  Successful applicants will have the ability to teach didactic and/or clinical courses in one or more of the following fields’ maternity, mental health, community and medical-surgical nursing.
The successful candidate(s) will hold a minimum of Master’s degree Nursing or an advanced practice nursing Master’s degree with certification in area of specialization desired.  Experience as a nurse educator with at least two years of teaching experience in a college/university nursing program is preferred. The candidate will hold a current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the District of Columbia, or be eligible to obtain a District of Columbia Registered Nurse license by date of hire

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Successful candidates should have the following credentials:

  • Current Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license for the District of Columbia
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Teaching experience in BSN nursing programs preferred
  • Minimum of two –three years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, and
  • Current knowledge of nursing practice at the registered nurse level
