Assistant Professor of Special Education

Trinity Washington University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Special Education. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the Teacher Education program in the School of Education.

Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be prepared to teach Special Education courses at all levels (PK – 12), as well as supervising students during their Student Teaching Internships. Responsibilities of this 12 month position also include advising students and the recruiting of adjuncts to teach courses in the program.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to teaching and advising and a record of effective experience teaching at the graduate level. He or she will demonstrate versatility in teaching a wide variety of courses and enthusiasm for teaching students in the field of Special Education.

Education Requirement: A Ph.D. or the field of Special Education or a closely related major is a requirement. Newly minted Ph.D.s are welcomed.

Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations, or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if invited to campus for an interview.
