Director of Enrollment Services


Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks a Director of Enrollment Services who will lead a dynamic team in the Office of Enrollment Services.  This position is responsible for providing the overall leadership of Trinity’s “one-stop” Enrollment Services Center.  The director of enrollment services is the driving force of Trinity’s enrollment and retention efforts, working directly with Admissions and each academic unit to ensure that new and returning students have a seamless and transparent enrollment experience.  The director provides the energy and leadership necessary to create and maintain a top-level, cross-functional customer service team.  The successful candidate is an out-going leader and strategic thinker who will create a team to assist students with all aspects of the financial aid, registration and payment processes and will ensure that Trinity meets its enrollment goals.

Primary responsibilities of the director of enrollment services include: leadership, training and motivation of staff in the Enrollment Services Center; leading retention and case management efforts in coordination with other departments, especially related to financial aid issues; effective outreach to both new and returning students that emphasizes Trinity’s value and commitment to student success; developing innovative and effective loan counseling sessions and debt management workshops; developing seamless and transparent enrollment processes with appropriate technology.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of success in leadership and team building skills.  In addition, the successful candidate will be able to work closely with the Offices of Admissions and Student Affairs and with each academic unit in addressing student and family enrollment and financial concerns.  The director must have the intellectual vision and energy to work effectively and collaboratively with all parts of the university community.

A bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred, plus 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience with experience drawn from higher education is required.   The candidate must possess the ability to provide strong leadership and management experience in a complex higher education environment.
