Director of the M.B.A. Program


Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C. seeks a Director of the M.B.A. Program to oversee the management of the program curriculum and faculty, lead program development initiatives, and teach select courses.  This is a position that reports directly to the Dean of the School of Professional Studies.  The position is a full-time 12-month faculty appointment with administrative duties.

The successful candidate will be an innovative educational and business entrepreneur with outstanding business experience as well as teaching, program development, and faculty management skills.  Qualifications include: a minimum of eight years experience as a senior level manager or executive in private or nonprofit business; at least three years of experience as an adjunct or full-time faculty member in higher education teaching business courses, preferably at the graduate level; strong communication skills both orally and in writing; and a record of innovative accomplishments in business endeavors as well as academic settings.  The position requires an MBA, or other appropriate terminal professional degree; strong administrative skills; experience teaching adults and graduate students, and familiarity with online education.

Responsibilities of the M.B.A. Program Director include:  supervising the ongoing development of the M.B.A. curriculum and related policies; course scheduling; faculty personnel management including hiring adjuncts as well as full-time faculty; program assessment according to Trinity’s program review schedule; coordination of course syllabi according to Trinity’s student learning assessment requirements; faculty assessment; development of external partnerships with businesses in the Washington region; creative development of programmatic initiatives designed to maintain and increase enrollments.  The program director will be a member of the faculty of the School of Professional Studies and in that capacity will participate in all faculty meetings and committees, and be responsible for teaching courses and fulfilling professional development requirements.
