Assistant Professor of Biology/Physiology and Anatomy


Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in Washington, D.C., invites applications for a 10-month, non-tenure track position at the assistant professor level in Biology, beginning fall 2011. The successful candidate will be responsible for undergraduate instruction in Trinity’s traditional women’s college, the College of Arts and Sciences. Candidates should have specific expertise in human anatomy and physiology. The ability to teach pathophysiology or other courses relevant to health professions majors is also highly desirable. In addition to being dedicated and enthusiastic about teaching, applicants must have the ability to integrate and infuse technology into classroom teaching and should be prepared to demonstrate a history of  innovative, creative pedagogy. 


The successful candidate will have at least two years experience in teaching at the collegiate or university level.  A doctorate in Biology or a related field is preferred, but doctoral candidates and/or applicants with a master’s degree and teaching experience will be considered.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
