- The Trinity Tigers won their 10th game of the season last night beating the Crusaders from Christendom College 71-56.  They only had a 7 point lead at the half but opened that up in the second half outscoring the Crusaders.  Freshman guard Shelby Swann led the Tigers with 19 points.  Junior guard Charity Blackwell followed with 12 points.  Junior guard Christa Burgess had a season high 12 steals.   The Tigers are now 10-4 on the season.  They are on the road again Wednesday night as they travel to Pennsylvania to take on Penn State York.  Follow the Tigers games live …

- Saturday, January 21:  Due to weather and road conditions, Trinity will open today at 12 Noon.  All morning classes and activites are cancelled.  Trinity Center will open at 8 AM. All Continuing Education classes at Parkdale on Saturday are cancelled, due to the closing of Prince Georges Public Schools.

- Due to the weather forecast, PGCPS facilities will open at noon on Saturday. Trinity’s Continuing Education classes at Parkdale will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 21.  Unless this message is updated, classes at Trinity’s main campus will run as scheduled.

- The Trinity Tigers posted an impressive victory Friday night beating the Patriots from Valley Forge College      61-52.   The Tigers were up 8 at the half but slowly watched the Patriots erase that lead and at the 13 minute mark tied the game at 39.   With 3 minutes left in the game Christa Burgess hit a key jumper giving the Tigers a 3 point lead.  With 1:30 left Shelby Swann hit both of her free throws to secure the win for the Tigers. - The Trinity Tigers overcame a slow start Wednesday night beating the Phoenix from Wilson College 59-53.  The Tigers were down ten points at halftime shooting on 12 percent from the floor.  In the second half the Tigers out shot the Phoenix by 16 points.  Junior guard Christa Burgess had a season high 20 points, 2 assists and 5 steals.  Freshman guard Shelby Swann followed with 12 points and 5 assists.  The Tigers are now 8-2 on the season.

- The Trinity Tigers dominated Monday night beating the Sentinels from Patrick Henry College 84-14.  The Tigers took a commanding lead early shooting 53% from the floor in the first half, they led going into halftime 45-3.  Junior guard Thamar Polynice led the Tigers with 17 points, 6 assists and 9 steals.  Freshman guard Shelby Swann, Senior forward Stefonie Kelly and Freshman guard Myesha Green all contrinuted 13 points for the Tigers. - The Trinity Tigers lost only their second game of the season Friday night losing to the Blazers from  Hood College 80-59.  The Blazers came out strong and after the first few minutes went on a 19-2 run breaking the game wide open.   The Blazers had a commanding lead going into halftime.  There was not much the Tigers could do in the second half as the Blazers shot a season high 53% from the floor.  Junior guard Christa Burgess led the Tigers with 15 points and 4 steals.  Senior forward Stefonie Kelly followed with 14 points.  The Tigers are now 6-2 …

- January 11, 2012 The Trinity Tigers won their 6th straight game Wednesday night beating the Gators from the College Notre Dame 66-65.   The Gators had the advantage going into halftime with a 40-32 lead.   The Gators lead throughout most of the second half until a late surge by the Tigers brought them within two points with a minute left in the game.  Christa Burgess tied the game with 60 seconds left.  With only five seconds left in the game Thamar Polynice was fouled sending her to the free throw line.   Thamar made one of her two free throws securing a 66-65 …
