Tigers win again..

- November 19, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Basketball team won their second game of the season Friday night beating the College of Notre Dame 64-55.  Senior Danielle Owens recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 points and 19 rebounds.  Freshman LaShawna Ervin led the team in scoring with 19 points.  With 8:55 remaining in the first half the Tigers took a four point lead 20-16 and never looked back.    The Tigers found their rhythm and headed into halftime with a 17 point lead 38-21.    Despite being outscored in the second half 34-26 the Tigers held on for the victory.   …

Tigers Win Home Opener….

- November 17, 2010 The Trinity Tigers Basketball team got off to a great start last night beating Penn State York 61-43.  Sophomore Thamar Polynice led the Tigers with 19 points, 4 assists and 6 steals.  Freshman LaShawna Ervin netted in 14 points, 3 assists and 5 steals.  Senior Stefonie Kelly led the Tigers in rebounds with 11.  The Tigers are in action again Friday night at home as they take on the Gators from the College of Notre Dame.  Game time is 7:00 pm. Hemsley Named Association of Division III Independents Student-Athlete of the Month for October

- For Immediate Release November 9, 2010 OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) named women’s soccer forward/goalkeeper Kiauna Hemsley, a junior from Trinity Washington University, its Student-Athletes of the Month for the month of October. Hemsley played double duty in the month of October as she was called upon to fill in at goal when a fellow goalkeeper was injured. She is her team’s second leading scorer with eight goals, including one in a 3-1 win over Washington Adventist on Oct. 8. Additionally, the Baltimore, Md., native played five games in goal and recorded 45 saves.
