Volleyball Wins in 5

- The Trinity Tigers Volleyball team won their 3rd game of the season Saturday beating the College of St. Elizabeth in 5 sets (23-25,25-23,18-25,26-24,15-8). Kristy Baugher led the Tigers with 33 digs, Kimberly Burr had 16 digs and 15 spikes and Gillian Bryant had 21 digs and 7 spikes. The Tigers are in action again at home on Tuesday October 21, game time is 7:00 pm.

Player of the Week

- Hemsley receives Association of Division III Independents Women’s Soccer Player of the week Award. October 6, 2008 KANSAS CITY, MO – Trinity College (DC) freshman Kiauna Hemsley (Baltimore, MD) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week. Hemsley led her squad to a pair of wins on the week as she produced the game-winner in both contests. On Oct. 1, she recorded a hat trick against Mary Baldwin in a come from behind 5-4, victory. She followed that up with the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Randolph College on Oct. 4.

Two in a Row…

- The Trinity Tigers soccer team won their second straight game on Saturday against Randolph College 1-0. Kiauna Hemsley scored the only goal in the second half to lead the Tigers to victory. The defense, which consists of; Allison Evans, Denise Maravilla, Eva Leonzo-Portillo and Jamie Lepak, played outstanding, shutting down their offense in the second half to only 4 shots on goal. Cristina Martinez had 16 saves.

Come From Behind Victory!!!

- The Trinity Tigers Soccer team won their second game of the season with a unbelievable second half comeback. Down 4-2 with 17 minutes left to go in the game, the Tigers scored 3 goals, the last one coming with only 3 minutes left in the game, to claim a 5-4 victory over Mary Baldwin College. Danielle Pettis and Macee Wray both scored goals while Kiauna Hemsley had her second hat-trick (3 goals) of the season. This was a tremendous team effort with contributions from every member of the team. Goalie Cristina Martinez had 9 saves on the day.
