- The Tigers came up short in an attempt to stretch their win streak to three games as they fell to Wesley College (DE) 76-74 in overtime. Trinity held a two point lead with six seconds left in regulation when Wesley’s Michele Mules connected on two free throws to send the game into overtime. With two seconds remaining in overtime, free throws were the deciding factor. - The Tigers overcame a slow start Tuesday night to defeat Gallaudet University 78-69 in overtime. Gallaudet held a 27-32 halftime lead, but could not hold on through the end of regulation. Trinity’s swarming defense enabled them to get back into the game as the Bison’s turned the ball over several times. Trinity had a chance to win in regulation but an 8 foot jumper by Ashley West with 1.5 seconds left in the game hit the back of the rim and bounced out. In overtime, Trinity held Gallaudet to just 7 points and connected on 10 of 12 free throws. …
