TIGERS FALL TO WESLEY IN OVERTIME

- The Tigers came up short in an attempt to stretch their win streak to three games as they fell to Wesley College (DE) 76-74 in overtime. Trinity held a two point lead with six seconds left in regulation when Wesley’s Michele Mules connected on two free throws to send the game into overtime. With two seconds remaining in overtime, free throws were the deciding factor. Wesley’s Shirelle Tingle stepped to the free throw line with the score tied at 74 and knocked down both free throws to seal the victory for Wesley. Leading the Tigers in scoring was Janel Hamilton …

TIGERS DEFEAT GALLAUDET IN OVERTIME

- The Tigers overcame a slow start Tuesday night to defeat Gallaudet University 78-69 in overtime. Gallaudet held a 27-32 halftime lead, but could not hold on through the end of regulation. Trinity’s swarming defense enabled them to get back into the game as the Bison’s turned the ball over several times. Trinity had a chance to win in regulation but an 8 foot jumper by Ashley West with 1.5 seconds left in the game hit the back of the rim and bounced out. In overtime, Trinity held Gallaudet to just 7 points and connected on 10 of 12 free throws. …

TRINITY TIGERS SPILT IN TIP-OFF TOURNAMENT

- The Trinity Tigers Basketball Team returned from a weekend trip to Messiah College, PA with a win and a loss in the Messiah Invitational Tip-Off Tournament.

2006-07 BASKETBALL SEASON PREVIEW

- The 2006-07 Trinity Basketball Team will take on a brand new look under the former assistant and first year head coach Gary Blake. “It will be all about rebuilding and continuing to rely on the one constant we have had for the last three years, Senior Lauren Hall, ” comments Blake. Returning Players Leading the Tigers will be senior Lauren Hall (Baltimore, MD).
