Counseling Alumna wins prestigious NBCC Fellowship

May 19, 2016 - Sadiqa R. Long Awarded $20,000 Counseling Fellowship From NBCC and Affiliates Washington, DC—The NBCC Foundation, an affiliate of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), recently selected Sadiqa R. Long, of Washington, DC, for the National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship Program (NBCC MFP). As an NBCC MFP Fellow, Long will receive funding and training to support her education and facilitate her service to underserved minority populations. The NBCC MFP is made possible by a grant first awarded to NBCC by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in August 2012. Dr. Bolden’s publications and presentations

July 8, 2014 - Dr. Mark Bolden, Assistant Professor of Counseling will be presenting on 2 panels at the Association of Black Psychologists conference in Indianapolis, IN, in July 14-19. Dr. Bolden recently finished editing his first issue of the Psych Discourse News Journal of the Association of Black Psychologists. He is Managing Editor and recently assumed responsibility for the summer issue, which is in press. Dr. Bolden’s proposal to present at the Caribbean Psychology conference in Suriname in November was accepted. He will be working with a team of scholars to present a 4-paper symposium.
