Disability Services | Continuing Ed Students & Visitors

If you are a student taking continuing education classes and require interpreter services (ASL), please  contact DSS. You should contact DSS at least four (4) weeks prior to the start of your class in order to register with DSS and to allow DSS ample time to secure certified American Sign Language interpreters. Please visit Continuing Education for a list of their policies. As well, please complete the online request at least four (4) weeks prior to your needing services.

This also applies to visitors who require interpreting services while on campus and to students who are taking credit hour classes. If you require ASL interpreting, complete the online request at least four (4) weeks prior to your needing services.

As well, if you are a Continuing Education student who is deaf  and want to take online courses, you need to let DSS and Continuing Education know as soon as you register. We want to make sure that you have complete access to the videos that you will be using online. Remember: We do not know you are a student that requires a transcript, for example, of the video unless you self-identify. Please do so as soon as you register.

If you have a documented disability that you would need accommodations for, you would need to register with DSS. Please see For Students Requesting Services for that information. Again, please notify DSS at least four (4) weeks prior to your class meeting.
