Students must present official copies of passing scores based on the requirements of the District of Columbia. The Praxis CORE test is administered by the Educational Testing Service and measures reading, writing, and computational skills vital to all teacher candidates. Further information about the test, testing dates and locations can be obtained at ETS (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ets.org\/\">www.ets.org<\/a>). Trinity\u2019s school code is\u00a0<b>RA5796<\/b>. Note: Assistance with Praxis CORE preparation is offered through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trinitydc.edu\/continuing-education\/\">Office of Continuing Education<\/a>. Preparation courses in Reading\/Writing and in Math are offered each semester.<\/p>\n<p>Students pursuing a BA in Education must earn qualifying scores on the Praxis I\/CORE, ACT, SAT, or GRE prior to registering for education courses at the 300-level or above,\u00a0with the exception of\u00a0EDTE 301.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Praxis II Examination<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Praxis II examinations, administered by the Educational Testing Service, measure prospective teachers\u2019 knowledge of the subjects they will teach as well as how much they know about teaching that subject.
