Honoring our tradition as a liberal arts Catholic college for women, Trinity offers this curriculum in order to foster and sustain in our students growth in the knowledge, skills, and values inherent in the liberal arts.<\/p>\n<span id=\"Curricular_Areas_of_the_General_Education_Curriculum\"><h2><a name=\"Curricular\"><\/a>Curricular Areas of the General Education Curriculum<\/h2><\/span>\n<p>The general education curriculum focuses on four different curricular areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinitydc.edu\/catalog-17-18\/gen-ed-cas\/#Foundational-Skills-1517-credits\">Foundational Skills<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinitydc.edu\/catalog-17-18\/gen-ed-cas\/#Knowledge-amp-Inquiry-3134-credits\">Knowledge and Inquiry<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinitydc.edu\/catalog-17-18\/gen-ed-cas\/#Values-amp-Beliefs-6-credits\">Values and Beliefs <\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinitydc.edu\/catalog-17-18\/gen-ed-cas\/#Applications-Turning-Knowledge-into-Action-6-credits\">Applications: Turning Knowledge into Action<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<span id=\"Goals_of_the_General_Education_Curriculum_1\"><h2><a name=\"Goals_General\"><\/a>Goals of the General Education Curriculum<\/h2><\/span>\n<p>Over the course of four years, students take courses within each of these areas to achieve eight goals linked to the completion of the general education curriculum.
