Tigers Shock Washington Adventist

February 24, 2012 - The Trinity Tigers basketball team seeking revenge for their loss back in November came out ready to play and beat the Shock from Washington Adventist 59-51.  The Tigers took the lead immediately and never looked back.  The Tigers were up by 14 points during the first half and went into halftime with a comfortable 11 point lead. Burgess receives Player of the Week Award

February 16, 2012 - OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Trinity Washington University junior guard Christa Burgess (Landover, Md.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. Burgess very nearly averaged a triple-double on the week with 11.7 points, 8.3 steals, 7.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as the Tigers went 3-0 on the week. Tigers lose close one

February 15, 2012 - The Trinity Tigers lost a tough game Wednesday night falling to Southern VA University 70-57.  The Tigers were down 16 at halftime but fought back in the last ten minutes of the game but unfortunately ran out of time.  The Tigers outshot the SVU in the second half by 3 points.  Senior forward Stefonie Kelly had a season high 27 points and 14 rebounds, recording her first double double of the season.  Junior guard Thamar Polynice followed with 15 points and 9 steals.  The Tigers hit the road Friday to take on the Patriots from Valley Forge.  The Tigers are … Continue reading

Tigers Roll….

February 13, 2012 - The Trinity Tigers posted their highest score ever Monday night beating Patrick Henry College 105-22.  Senior forward Stefonie Kelly had a game high 24 points.  Freshman guard Myesha Green had a season high 20 points.   Junior guard Thamar Polynice and Junior guard Christa Burgess both contributed 17 points.  The Tigers are now 13-7 on the season. Tigers win again….

February 6, 2012 - The Trinity Tigers won again Saturday afternoon beating Philadelphia Bible 57-47.  The Tigers were up by 5 at halftime shooting 43% from the floor.  The Tigers never gave up their lead but Philadelphia Bible pulled within 4 points with 7 minutes remaining in the game.  Junior guard Christa Burgess had a double double on the day with 12 points and 13 rebounds.  She also contributed 5 steals. Sophomore forward Dominique Meriedy followed with 9 points.  Freshman guard Shelby Swann, Junior forward Charity Blackwell and Senior forward Stefonie Kelly all contributed 8 points.  The Tigers are now 12-4 on the season.  They hit the … Continue reading

Tigers Dominate PSU-York

February 2, 2012 - February 1, 2012 The Trinity Tigers won big last night beating Penn State York 83-45.  The Tigers got off to a slow start going into halftime only up by 6 points but came out on fire in the second half outscoring PSU-York by 32 points.  Senior forward Stefonie Kelly led the Tigers with 20 points and 9 rebounds.  Junior guard Christa Burgess followed with 12 points and 8 steals.  The Tigers are now 11-4 on the season.  The Tigers are in action at home on Saturday as they take on the Crimson Eagles from Philadelphia Bible.  Game time is 2:00 … Continue reading
