Occupational Therapy Assistant (A.A.S.)

Trinity is the only university in the District of Columbia that offers a Associate of Applied Science degree program to become an occupational therapy assistant (OTA).

The OTA program at Trinity prepares the student to be an occupational therapy practitioner who works under the supervision and in cooperation with an occupational therapist (OT) to help people across the lifespan engage in the things they need and want to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities.

Occupational Therapy is an exciting and dynamic health profession which affords the student many opportunities to work in hospitals, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, community programs, schools, private practice, and mental health settings; work with individuals, organizations and populations.
