How to Apply, Be Prepared!

Application deadlines: We accept applications on a rolling admissions basis and place priority consideration for applications received by February 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. It is always best to plan ahead!

1) Complete and submit your application – All Trinity applications are FREE and you can apply online! Simply complete the form online, then mail us the rest of your application materials.  Start the Online Application now!

2) Submit your official high school transcripts showing your cumulative grade point average. Transfer students: see additional transcript requirements below.

3) Ask your high school guidance counselor or teacher to submit a letter of recommendation – you need at least one recommendation. Recommendations from friends, family members or colleagues will not be considered. Download our recommendation form.

SAT and ACT Scores: Trinity does not require you to submit SAT or ACT scores. You are welcome to submit your scores if you would like Trinity to consider them as part of your application. Trinity’s SAT code is 5796; Trinity’s ACT code is 0696.

Additional Applicant Instructions

Transfer Applicants: Please submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended. If you have earned fewer than 24 credit hours, also submit your official high school transcripts.

International Applicants: Please visit the International Applicant Admissions web page  for more details on how to apply.  Complete the supplemental form for international students and submit the form with the rest of your application if you are not currently a US citizen or permanent resident.

Non-Degree Applicants: Individuals may complete up to 6 credits of coursework without seeking a Trinity degree. If you are interested in applying as a non-degree student, please contact the Office of Admissions at or 202-884-9400 to request a non-degree application.

Readmission: Former Trinity students must request readmission to Trinity if the student was dismissed or if more than two years have elapsed since the undergraduate student successfully completed a semester at Trinity. In order to apply for readmission, please contact the Office of Admissions at or 202-884-9400 to request a readmission application.

U.S. citizens who have studied at foreign institutions: Applicants who are U.S. citizens who have obtained high school or college/university credit from an institution outside of the United States must submit official transcripts for an evaluation by one of the following accredited agencies:  World Education Services (, American Association of Collegiate Registrar’s and Admissions Officers (, Josef Silny ( or Educational Credential Evaluators ( Please ask for a course-by-course evaluation.
