Academic Support

Trinity recognizes that most adults need support as they transition into graduate school, and the School of Education provides a program for success with a seminar just for people like you. In the seminar you will learn:

  • What professors want to see in their assignments (before they are due)
  • How to use the library in the computer age
  • How to manage your time
  • How to finance your degree
  • Who to contact and what to do if you need assistance

Through the Academic Services Center in the Library, Trinity also offers many resources to help you excel in your courses.

The Writing Center

Here’s what Trinity students are saying about the Writing Center:

“The Writing Center was an invaluable aid in my transition into graduate school.”

“The Writing Center has helped me in ways words cannot describe.”

“English is my third language.  I don’t think I could have done it without the Writing Center.”

Hundreds of students use the Trinity Writing Center.  We conducted nearly 1,600 conferences last year with writers of all skill levels.  You will benefit from a visit to the Writing Center, so make an appointment today!

Free Tutoring

The Academic Services Center offers free tutoring in a variety of courses to all students enrolled at Trinity. Because students learn in different ways and have varying needs, tutoring is done one-to-one, and in small groups. The one-to-one tutoring instruction is open to all students who have been recommended by their instructor, advisor, or individuals who have discovered they need assistance to be successful in their classes at Trinity.

Free tutoring is offered in most subjects. We offer content tutoring on a one-to-one basis designed to respond to individual learning needs quickly and flexibly.  Tutors are undergraduate students who excel academically. They are trained and directed by full-time professional staff and attend training meetings to remain current in tutoring techniques.  Tutors are available to help clarify assignments and to illustrate ways to correct problems.
